David Goulet 77d560af64 prop289: Keep the digest bytes, not the object 
The digest object is as large as the entire internal digest object's state,
which is often much larger than the actual set of bytes you're transmitting.

This commit makes it that we keep the digest itself which is 20 bytes.

Tor protects your privacy on the internet by hiding the connection
between your Internet address and the services you use. We believe Tor
is reasonably secure, but please ensure you read the instructions and
configure it properly.

To build Tor from source:
        ./configure && make && make install

To build Tor from a just-cloned git repository:
        sh autogen.sh && ./configure && make && make install
