The deserialization of bitcoin transactions in wire/ is rather annoying in that we first allocate a new bitcoin_tx, then copy it's contents onto the destination and then still carry the newly allocated one around due to the tal-tree. These are standard bitcoin manipulation routines which should be provided by any normal bitcoin library in whatever language you choose. The ones here are standalone ones taken from bitcoin core and some I wrote, many taken from bitcoin-iterate and pasted in here.
